The story
From one free mower to a full crew
In 2017, Ryan Vennell started Vennells with a $20 bill, a free lawn mower, and a dream — mowing lawns in Winslow Township as a high-school freshman. Today Vennell's Lawn N Landscape LLC is a licensed, bonded, and insured crew serving residential and commercial clients across Camden and Gloucester Counties with landscaping, hardscaping, and weekly lawn maintenance. We take tremendous pride in our work and love to see our clients use the outdoor spaces we create and maintain.
The early jobs came the old-fashioned way — a mowed lawn a neighbor noticed, a thank-you post with the client's name on it, fall-cleanup door hangers hung one porch at a time. Ryan kept at it straight through Paul VI High School, and by graduation in 2024 the free mower had become a fleet: black Ford trucks with VENNELL across the tailgate, dump trailers, and a crew in matching black tees and hats.
The work grew with it — patios, walkways, retaining walls, landscape design, mulch and rock installation, tree work, and weekly maintenance routes across Camden & Gloucester Counties, plus fall cleanups and Christmas lights when the season turns. Different trucks, same rule as day one: do it right, and thank the people who trust you with their homes.
