Retaining Walls
A wall that holds its grade for decades is built twice — once underground, once above it.
Retaining walls do real work: holding a slope, framing a driveway, turning an unusable grade into flat, usable yard. We build block and garden walls on excavated, compacted footing with drainage behind them — because a wall without drainage is a slow-motion collapse.
Moving earth is normal work for us. We have excavated overgrown lots, regraded yards, and hauled over 40 tons of material into a single driveway job — so when your wall needs real site work behind it, it is the same crew and the same equipment.
What's Included
- On-site grade assessment and free estimate
- Excavation and compacted footing trench
- Block and garden wall construction, leveled course by course
- Drainage stone and backfill behind the wall
- Caps, steps, and tie-ins to beds and walkways
- Haul-away of spoils and full cleanup
The Process
No mystery, no runaround — here's exactly what happens between your call and the cleanup.
- 01
Read the grade
We look at what the wall has to hold, where water goes today, and where it should go instead.
- 02
Excavate the footing
The trench is dug and base material compacted so the first course starts dead level.
- 03
Stack and level
Every course checked as the wall climbs; corners and curves cut clean.
- 04
Drain and backfill
Drainage stone placed behind the wall before backfilling — the step that decides whether a wall lasts.
- 05
Cap and clean up
Caps set, beds tied in, and every yard of spoils hauled away.
